Terms and Conditions

The Packaging Depot is an online trading name of Simpson Packaging. The term Simpson Packaging, or ‘us’ or ‘we’ refers to the owner of the website whose registered office is stated on our contact page. The term ‘you’ refers to the user or viewer of our website.

1. Price and Ordering

a) The price payable for the goods is set out on the website at the time the Customer places their order.

b) When confirmation of an order is received, this is to indicate that The Packaging Depot have received your order. It does not indicate that a contract exists between you the customer and The Packaging Depot. Only when we issue you with a sales invoice for your order will this warrant a contract being, exchanged for the sale. We have included this term to protect against a mistake in pricing, we may inadvertently under-price or over-price goods, or we are no longer able to supply a particular product for some reason.

c) In the case of a change of price, we will always contact you first to ensure that the price is acceptable.

d) If the product is no longer available or on backorder we will seek to offer you a suitable alternative.

e) We only accept the debit / credit card methods of payment that are displayed during our checkout process. Payment by cheque is not accepted.

f) All goods are to be paid for at the point of order. In the event that items have to be backordered or are not available, you will be given the option to cancel the item/s or the order in it’s entirety. If you choose to cancel the order due to one of these reasons you will not be charged.

2. Delivery and Title

a) For the purposes of this section "a Working Day" is defined as Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday or Friday excluding public holidays in England.

b) Delivery is restricted to the United Kingdom.

c) All delivery dates are estimates only and The Packaging Depot, will not be held liable for any delay in delivery of the goods howsoever caused. Once orders are despatched any such delays are out of our control.

d) Title to the goods will only pass from The Packaging Depot to you on receipt of payment in full of the price of the goods including all relevant taxes and delivery costs. We reserve the right to repossess goods in the Customer's possession if payment is not made in full.

e) If you fail to accept a delivery and re-delivery is required, there will be an additional re-delivery charge to fulfil the order. The cost of this will be confirmed prior and charged.

3. Back Orders

a) If the goods you ordered are not in stock, we will back order the goods if they are not already due back into stock and quote an estimated delivery date or offer a suitable alternative if the item is no longer available. The Packaging Depot will always call or email you with the option to cancel your order if you do not accept the new delivery date or the alternative item offered is not acceptable.

4. VAT Charges

a) All orders will be subject to the current rate of VAT which at present is 20%. The Packaging Depot website allows for price to be displayed either exclusive or inclusive of VAT.

5. Guarantee

a) Orders placed on The Packaging Depot website come with a 30 day money back guarantee on return of the goods in an unused, re-saleable condition with the original packaging intact.

b) You must notify us by telephone on 01924 869010 or email, sales@thepackagingdepot.co.uk

c) You will bear the cost of returning the goods to The Packaging Depot in full unless the goods are being returned because they are incorrect or defective, in which case we will arrange for the goods to be collected by our carrier, pallet haulier or one of our own vehicles. If you require, we can arrange a carrier on your behalf to collect goods for return.

d) On receipt of the goods being returned to The Packaging Depot you will receive a credit, exchange or refund to the total value of goods returned subject to the goods being inspected and found to be in an unused, re-saleable condition.

e) Some products advertised for sale on The Packaging Depot website come with a warranty. The specific details of the product warranty (inclusions / exclusions & warranty period) will be on the product description and also stated on your order confirmation and invoice paperwork. 

6. Liability

a) Any defect in the quality, quantity and condition of the goods should be notified by you upon receipt of the goods. The delivery should be refused, if damaged during transit. If you do not notify us and refuse the delivery we will not accept liability for such defects.

b) The Packaging Depot will inspect the goods returned and if the defect is identified, you will be offered the option of replacement at no additional cost or a full refund of the price of the goods. We will have no further liability to you.

c) The Packaging Depot under no circumstances will be liable to you for any loss of profits, additional costs, indirect or consequential loss or damage arising out of any defects in goods supplied. The Packaging Depot’s liability will be restricted to the value of goods returned that are found to be defective on inspection.

7. Force Majeure

a) The Packaging Depot have no liability to you for any failure or delay in supply or delivery or for any damage or defect to the goods supplied or delivered caused by any event or circumstance beyond our reasonable control.

8. General

a) The validity, legality or enforceability of any part of these terms and conditions will be unaffected by the invalidity, illegality or unenforceability of any individual part of these term and conditions.

b) These terms and conditions shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with English Law.

c) All pictures displayed are a representation of the item and a very small number may vary slightly from the image displayed at times.

d) Your use of any information or materials on this website is entirely at your own risk, for which we shall not be liable. It shall be your own responsibility to ensure that any products, services or information available through this website meet your specific requirements.

e) This website may also include links to other websites (E.G: YouTube for the hosting of videos). These links are provided for your convenience to provide further information. They do not signify that we endorse the website(s). Unfortunately, we have no responsibility for the content of the linked website(s).

f) You may not create a link to this website from another website or document without the prior written consent of The Packaging Depot’s owner Simpson Packaging.

g) Unauthorised use of this website or the images we display may give rise to a claim for damages and/or be a criminal offense unless you have received the written agreement of Simpson Packaging.

9. Offers and Promotions Online

a) Only one offer, voucher, discount or promotion is valid per order.

b) Any offer, voucher, discount or promotion, can be withdrawn at any time and without notice.

c) When delivery charges are incurred, these will be taken into account when price matching.

10. Bespoke Custom Printed Packaging Materials

a) A .pdf proof, will be supplied where customs printed packaging materials, are ordered by you.

b) If any artwork amendments are required after the proof has been issued and/or subsequently approved by you, there will be additional charges.
